The challenge is undertaken by 40-year-old mountain skier Daisuke Sasaki. Denali is the mountain where Naoki Uemura, the adventurer he admired, lost his life. It has long been a dream of his to face it head-on. The temperature is minus 30 degrees Celsius and the oxygen is half that of the flat terrain.
